Double Recognition for former student César García Moreno at the XVIII COITT Awards
I’m thrilled to share that two of the projects I advised, developed by César García Moreno, have been recognized as the Best Final Year Projects (TFG) of 2024 by the Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Técnicos de Telecomunicación (COITT) in its XVIII edition of the Premios Futuro de las Telecomunicaciones.
In a historic first for the COITT, César received first place in two different categories in the same year—an unprecedented achievement that reflects both the innovation and impact of his work.
The awarded projects addressed two cutting-edge fields:
- Communication and processing system for obtaining horizon elevation
- Design and development of a three-axis stabilized pointing system based on microprocessors for obtaining self-leveled and magnetically oriented images
I had the great privilege of mentoring César throughout both projects, and it was an honor to participate in the award ceremony, where I personally handed him one of the prizes and shared a few words alongside my colleague and friend Jorge Montes (INTA), who acted as external co-advisor.
