GRyS Participates in UPM Investiga 2026

On March 18 and 19, 2026, the research group I belong to, GRyS (Next Generation Networks and Services Group), participated in the first edition of UPM Investiga. The event, held at the Central de Diseño in Matadero Madrid, is the first global research fair organized by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. Designed to bring the university’s research activity closer to society, UPM Investiga also aims to foster cooperation with the business sector and public administration, creating a space for the exchange of ideas and the generation of new collaboration opportunities.

GRyS had an assigned space within the “AI and digitalization” booth. The group showcased its latest advancements in the field, focusing on the development of intelligent systems for autonomous fleets and AI-powered tools for secure data querying. Among the technologies demonstrated were:

  • The Smart Fleet Manager.
  • The device for generating prescription maps for precision agriculture.
  • An interactive tool for secure natural language querying of databases.

The event also served as a valuable platform for networking. We took the opportunity to connect with other research groups with shared interests, and we are currently exploring potential synergies that have arisen from those initial conversations.

The GRyS team at the event included my colleagues Estela and Mario, who were present at the booth, along with Xi Tao. I attended the first day from 15:30 until the end of the event at 22:00.
