New Paper Published: Survey on Intermediation Architectures for Underwater Robotics

I’m excited to announce that our latest paper has been published in Sensors! 🎉 This time, we’ve conducted a comprehensive survey on intermediation architectures for underwater robotics. Our study aims to provide a holistic view of the existing middleware solutions and highlight common weaknesses to pave the way for future developments (Li et al., 2016).

Key Highlights

  • Comprehensive Survey: We reviewed and classified the most compelling middleware solutions for underwater robotics.
  • Identified Weaknesses: Our analysis revealed several common weaknesses in current architectures, providing a starting point for future improvements.
  • Focus on AUVs and ASVs: The survey covers various types of underwater vehicles, including Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) and Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASVs).

Authors: Xin Li, José-Fernán Martínez Ortega, Jesús Rodríguez-Molina, and Néstor Lucas Martínez.
